In order to make sure your candles burn beautifully and last longer, trim the wick to 1/4 inch before each burn, allow the wax to melt to the edges during the first burn, and avoid drafts and burning for more than 4 hours at a time.
Below is a detailed guide to caring for your candle:
Before Burning:
Trim the wick:
Before each burn, trim the wick to about 1/4 inch (or just under the bud) using a wick trimmer or scissors.
First Burn:
Allow the wax to melt all the way to the edges of the container during the first burn to prevent tunneling (where the wax doesn't melt evenly).
Clean the candle:
Remove any debris or trimmings from the wax pool before each burn.
Choose a safe surface:
Place the candle on a stable, heat-resistant surface away from flammable objects.
Keep it away from drafts:
Avoid burning candles near drafts, open windows, or fans, as this can cause uneven burning and soot.
